Friends and Family Spinal Care July Newsletter

I would like to recognize all of the practice members that participated in our Detox with the Doc this June. We had over 100 practice members and guests engage in our Food and Prescription Drug Detox Workshops! Awesome job to everyone actively engaged in living healthier. Remember, 90% of conditions like Type II diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and depression can be prevented or corrected through proactive lifestyle choices. I encourage all of our practice members to avoid processed foods as much as possible and load up on fruits and vegetables. Exercise for 30 minutes/day, 6 days a week and maintain your adjustment schedule to ensure you are in top shape for the summer. To continue this amazing momentum in educating our community, Dr. Chung and I are headed to the Florida Chiropractic Society Conference this weekend where we will be continuing pediatric training with some of the best Doctors in the world! We continue to see more infants and children in the practice as this is the very best time to get the spine and nervous system checked. Our vision is to check families for subluxation early in life before they suffer the consequences of long term nerve impingement.
I appreciate each one of you and look forward to seeing your health and life improve.
Blessings, Dr. Brown

Practice Member Spotlight: When I moved to Florida a rash started to spread across my extremities. I was becoming very self conscious of my body and I stopped going to the beach because I didn’t like explaining my skin. I recently went to a dermatologist and he explained to me that I had tinea versicolor which is a condition where the body produces too much yeast on the skin. To help reduce the amount of yeast my body was making I had to cut yeast products out of my meals, this consisted of yogurt, cheeses, milk, and most products with gluten. In the last two weeks my skin no longer has the rash and coloration is slowly coming back in areas! It takes more time to do my grocery shopping these days because I have to stop and read the ingredients, but the effort is worth it. Altering my diet and maintain my adjustment schedule allowed my body to heal itself! Thanks to Dr. Brown I am educated on how to eat well, move well and live well through NUCCA! ~Melissa
