Dr. Carl Rider
A Passion Born from Athletics and Personal Challenge
Dr. Carl Rider’s journey into chiropractic care stems from a lifelong love of sports and a deep desire to help others perform at their best. Raised in Suwanee, Georgia, he excelled in varsity wrestling, tennis, and football at North Gwinnett High School. He went on to earn a full-ride scholarship to Furman University, where he played Division I football as a 1st Team All-Conference middle linebacker.
Over 18 seasons of competitive athletics, Dr. Rider endured numerous injuries and significant physical wear and tear. He relied on conventional Western medicine, including multiple shoulder surgeries, medications, and physical therapy, which provided only temporary relief and often led to further complications without addressing the underlying root cause. After college, as a surgical device sales representative, he gained firsthand insight into the limitations and common side effects of traditional medical approaches.
Discovering Upper Cervical Chiropractic
After earning his masters in Exercise Science and Human Performance, Dr. Rider enrolled in chiropractic school. After years of limited success addressing his low back pain, he finally experienced profound, enduring relief through a gentle and precise atlas upper cervical adjustment, which led to resolving his chronic neck and back pain.

Out of the Office
When Dr. Rider isn’t serving his community, you’ll often find him at the beach with Julia, a fellow chiropractor, and the love of his life, along with their energetic 20-month-old son, Wesley.
In his free time, he loves diving into podcasts and audiobooks, exploring history and science, marveling over God’s incredible design of the human body, playing volleyball and pickleball, hiking trails, foraging in nature, traveling the world, or unwinding with yoga and meditation.
