Meet Dr. Peter Murray

A Passion for Movement and Holistic Health

Dr. Peter MurrayDr. Murray’s path to chiropractic care began with a lifelong love of movement, exercise, and board sports. Throughout high school, staying active was a huge part of his life, but a knee injury shifted his focus from performance to recovery and sparked a deeper interest in anatomy, physiology, and how the body functions as a whole.

While going through physical therapy, Dr. Murray was introduced to manual, non-invasive care and quickly realized he wanted to work in healthcare in a way that supports the body’s natural ability to heal. As he continued learning, he became drawn to a holistic approach, one that views the body as an interconnected system rather than a collection of separate parts to be treated in isolation.

He went on to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. His time studying human movement and performance further strengthened his interest in helping people move, function, and feel better through natural, hands-on care.

Discovering Chiropractic Impact

This perspective ultimately led Dr. Murray to chiropractic, the only profession specifically focused on healing through the nervous system. He was especially drawn to the idea of restoring balance by removing interference to the nervous system, which influences every other system in the body.

Dr. Murray attended Life University, where he learned the ins and outs of optimizing the human experience by restoring neurological communication between the brain and body. He graduated summa cum laude and now helps patients improve function, movement, and overall well-being by addressing the root cause rather than just symptoms.

Out of the Office

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Murray enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, golfing, and making meaningful memories with family and friends. He believes maintaining balance outside the office helps him show up fully for his patients.

What is TPI?

TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) is the world’s leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. For over twenty years, TPI has gathered the world’s largest technical database of the game’s top Tour professionals as well as every-day golfers. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Conversely, TPI determined how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury. This relationship is what TPI calls The Body-Swing Connection and is the foundation of all professional Certification courses offered by TPI.
